Beginning her career as a costume seamstress for Broadway and drag performers, she picked up upholstery and fell in love with home textiles and decor. After getting her master’s in interior design from Parsons School of Design, she launched her practice as an interior designer and decorator specializing in adaptive reuse and sourcing antiques
